I love the quality and it’s way more comfortable than I expected!! It was supposed to take approximately a month to arrive but it didn’t even take 2 weeks! I ordered the cosplay on august 1st and it arrived on the 12th. Also, it comes with all the accessories, even the hair ones. If anyone is wondering, the size I got is XS :)
When you wear it, it's screen accurate. However, it is not historically accurate.
I was expecting the white ruqun and the pink crescent yaoqun to be two separate pieces. The same goes for the straight collar banbi and the gathered sleeve shirt. I was hoping to mix the pieces into my hanfu collection, but it's easy enough to alter the top if I ever wanted to, since the body is double layered. This also means it's not see-through!
As for the quality of the cosplay:
The fabric jacquard was a wonderful touch to elevate the costume from solid colors. Even the ties are made with a jacquard fabric. The sewing is also immaculate. The fabric is thick enough to be opaque without feeling heavy.
Additionally, the entire ensemble was completed shockingly fast: ordered on the 8th and it shipped out to me by the 22nd. And it arrived 8 days later.
Cosplayers Take Note:
- The moxiong strap hooks are not closed all the way around and can fall out, please be careful, or swap them to hooks that won't fall out.
- The elastic might not be loose enough on the medium and may require altering
- If you have a longer torso, you might need to safety-pin the top down.
- there is a generous amount of fabric. Save plenty of time to iron it out (it took me an hour to iron the whole thing!)
